Time Warner Center, Master Energy Plan
Endurant developed a Master Energy Plan for the Related Companies' marquee property at Columbus Circle in New York City. The Plan formulates and documents a strategy for lowering energy costs, maximizing the operational efficiency and minimizing the environmental impact of the Time Warner Center. It addresses conservation of energy and water while providing a means for reducing carbon emissions associated with energy use. This analysis identified three major areas for improvement:
- Retro Commissioning, which includes steam and chiller system balancing and optimization
- Improved Building Operations which includes improved HVAC and lighting system scheduling and operations
- Energy System Modifications that include cogeneration, condensate heat recovery, and a backpressure steam turbine.
